We have put together a range of ski packages that will save you time and money and are suitable everyone from first time skiiers to advanced board riders. All packages are for Cardrona ski field and include ski shuttle transfers from your accommodation or central Queenstown and can be combined with lessons, ski or board hire and clothing for 1 - 3 days.
Cardrona ski field is known for its dry, natural snow and wide, open slopes. We believe Cardrona offers superior facilities compared with the other ski fields, better snow, less crowds and more terrain for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There is also a world class terrain park and two half pipes for the serious snowboarders.
Cardrona is due to open on the 25th June and close on the 3rd October (depending on snow falls and weather conditions).
Accommodation
We recommend booking your accommodation in Queenstown prior to orgainsing any of your skiing or winter activities. Winter is a very busy time in Queenstown with most hotels booking out many months in advance. Please visit the accommodation section on our website to check availability and book your hotel, apartment or backpackers.
Packages with Lessons
Cardrona First Time Packages
Designed for your first time on the snow!! There is no cheaper way to learn how to ski or board!! Cardrona First Time Packages include return transport from Queenstown to Cardrona ski field, a learner's area lift pass, beginner lessons, and all equipment hire - either snowboard and boots, or skis boots and poles. All our Cardrona First Time Packages include two 2-hour group lessons on day one. 2 & 3 day packages include 2 lessons on day one and one lesson per day and a full lift pass on days two and three.
Cardrona Achievement Packages
For everyone from the 2nd timer to the advanced skier or snowboarder. If you've skied or snowboarded before and want to refresh or sharpen your skills then the Achievement Package is the way to go. Cardrona Achievement packs include return transport from Queenstown to Cardrona ski field, a full mountain lift pass, a 2 hour group lesson per day, and all equipment hire (snowboard and boots or skis, boots and poles).Your group lesson will be with other people of a similar ability to you.
Packages without Lessons
For people who just want to do their own thing on the slopes, these packages include transport from Queenstown to Cardrona ski field, full mountain lift pass and equipment hire (skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots).
Ski Field Transport
The mountain roads can get extremely icy and are quite treacherous for those who don't know what they are doing so we recommend not hiring a rental car and just catching the bus. When you book a package it will end up being cheaper than hiring a car anyway and you get picked up from your accommodation too!
If you have all your own equipment and clothing and just need to get from Queenstown to the ski field, Info & Track offer great value transport and transport/lift pass combo options. Driving time from Queenstown to Cardrona is approx 1hr 15mins (weather permitting). The early bus departs at 7.30am to get you to the mountain in time to make the most of your day of skiing or snowboarding! There is also a later bus that departs Queenstown at 9.45am and gives you the option of getting a lie-in. Please note that if you catch the late bus you will only get half a day skiing in the afternoon.

- You will need to pop in to the Info and Track centre on Shotover street the day before you ski to get your gear fitted. The shop is open until 7pm
- The late 9.45am bus is not available for the First Time or Achivement Packages
- Child prices are available for kids aged 6 - 17 years
- All packages include ski field transport with hotel transfers from Queenstown
