Find yourself in harmony with a spectacular environment and enjoy the wilderness expedition you've always dreamed of. This is the real Lord of the Rings country - not far from several of the locations used in Peter Jackson's trilogy. There can't be many better ways to challenge your personal boundaries and revitalise your inner spirit.
What separates a canyon from any ordinary stream is the narrow passages created by erosion into bedrock, creating beautiful sculptured walls and spectacular waterfalls. Canyoning (canyoneering in the U.S.) involves travelling down creeks or streams within a canyon by a variety of means - walking, scrambling, climbing, abseiling and swimming. Canyoning is an all weather activity.
All our activities are fully demonstrated by professional qualified guides, with safety briefings before each mission. All you require is a willingness to try things new and a desire to explore. No canyoning or abseiling skills are necessary. A gentle, ten minute walk through native bush takes you to the beginning of your Canyoning Experience. You need to be an active person in good health and be able to swim. If you cant swim then we recommend the Twelve Mile Canyoning tour.

- Return transfers from central Queenstown or drive yourself to Glenorchy (1 hour drive)
