Harness up and feel the wind in your face as you “Zziippp” down breath-taking flying foxes which traverse down the mountain tree to tree. Their experienced guides launch and receive you at each tree deck, so you are able to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Gaze at the spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkable mountain range as the guides deliver light-hearted but interesting details on local history, myths, legends and ecological principals at each suspended tree-house.

With two tours to choose from it is suitable for everyone, whether looking for an introduction into Queenstown adventure or wanting the latest gripping eco-exhilaration, featuring the steepest tree to tree flying fox in the world.
Moa 4-line tour
The perfect starter to your adventure experience in Queenstown. The Moa comprises four flying foxes, starting and finishing at the top of the Skyline gondola. Moa is designed to start low and slow and gradually build your confidence as it gets progressively longer, higher and faster. All ages love the interaction this aerial tour has to offer.
Kea 6-line tour
Faster, longer and finishing with a flying fox ride that descends 30 storeys at speeds of up to 70kph, the Kea tour is a unique way to get down the mountain. This stunningly beautiful guided journey through ancient native beech forest comprises six breathtaking, tree to tree ziplines with outstanding alpine vistas ; returning you to the bottom of the gondola hill on a total high.
Little folks can zip too! Tandem zipping is available on the Moa 4-line tour for children who are a minimum of 6 years, but weigh less than 30kg. Little Ziptrekkers will zip some of the lines on their own but if necessary will zip some with a professional Ziptrek guide! Advance booking is required as there is only one tandem space allotted per tour.

Trip Includes
- Moa 4-line or Kea 6-line tour
- All tours have an interpretative and informative guided talk on tree platforms with an ecological focus
- All guests are provided with a full body harness and a helmet
Duration
- Allow 2 hours for the Moa 4-line tour
- Allow 3 hours for the Kea 6-line tour
Departures
- Moa 4-line tour departs 10am, 12pm, 2pm (+ 4pm & 6pm in summer)
- Kea 6-line tour departs 10.20am, 1.40pm (+ 3.20pm & 5.20pm in summer)
- Departs from the top of the Skyline Gondola complex. You will need to catch the gondola to the top (at your expense) or walk up the track (45 minutes)
Other Information
- Ziptrek is an outdoor adventure activity and operates in all weather conditions, all year round
- Reservations are strongly recommended
- 24 hour cancellation policy
- Closed toe footwear is required for both tours, however firm and supportive footwear such as hiking boots or trainers are essential on the Kea 6-Line Tour
- Pregnant guests and those with a recent injury are not allowed to participate
- Minimum age 6 years. Minimum weight limit of 30kg for both ecotours (however you can go tandem on the Moa tour, if under 30kg)
- Upper weight limit 125kg (275lbs)
- Guests must be a minimum of 15 years old to zip without a guardian. All minors (18 years and under) require a guardian signature on their waiver before embarking on the tour
- It is cooler in the canopy of the trees. Guests are encouraged to wear additional layers for their own comfort of the tour
- Tours include light stair climbing and trail walking. Guests must be able to walk unassisted
- Small item storage is available at the Tree-house for guests participating on the Moa 4-Line tour. Please only bring non-valuable small items that will fit in your pocket for the Kea 6-Line tour as baggage cannot be carried on this tour
- If you have a camera or small video recording device you can bring it with you. We recommend they have a wrist or neck strap so that you can attach it to yourself when zipping
