Located at an exclusive shooting range on Queenstown Hill with beautiful views of Lake Wakatipu and Coronet Peak, there's no better place to share in Break One's passion for clay target shooting in Queenstown.

At Break One in Queenstown, you will engage in a thrilling competition at one of the four shooting stations on site, taking aim at a variety of clay targets launched from one of 12 traps. Participants will have the opportunity to take a few practice shots on the top-quality Beretta 12-gauge shotguns before the competitive fun begins!

'The Challenge' Clay Target Shooting Experience (minimum 4 shooters)
'The Challenge' is one of the most popular clay target shooting options at Break One in Queenstown. Part of 'The Challenge' package involves a scored competition comprising 24 targets (approximately 40 shots). Also included is Break One's distinctive 'Beretta Challenge', featuring a sequence of four swiftly moving targets launched from various directions! This is even more fun if you have a bunch of friends with whom to compete.

Clay Target Shooting in Queenstown is a great all-weather activity and suitable for all abilities. The team at Break One will guarantee you break a clay and have fun doing it!

Other Information

Minimum age is 12 years. Minimum height is 1.5 metres & minimum weight is 50kg
No experience required, however participants need to be able to hold & manage the firearm
This shooting range is exclusive to Break One, there is no public access so courtesy transport is provided
The range is located on Queenstown Hill
Wear clothing & footwear suitable for the weather
Bring a camera, drink & snack

Everything Travel Group Review

I never imagined Clay Target shooting to be quite as much fun. I was lucky enough to embark on a Clay Experience at Break One and had an absolute ball! Owner/Operator Blake was extremely accommodating and a patient instructor and made for a very enjoyable time. The scenery of Break One, being located just out of Arrowtown, is indeed stunning and leads to the uniquness of the whole experience. The feeling of shooting a Beretta 12 guage shot gun is pretty cool and I will definitely be back for more. I'm hooked. Thank you Break One for creating such a unique operation and executing it with a gold class service.

Hi Rob, the clay target shooting is close to Queenstown, so roughly a 4 hour drive from Mt Cook

How many shots do you get per person.

Hi Ken, for the Clay Experience you will have approximately 24 scored targets, after practice shots. For the Clay Challenge you will have approximately 32 scored targets, after practice shots.
