For Quad biking with Nomad Safari in Queenstown, you will have to provide a credit card that may be charged in case of damage to the vehicle but there is no actual cash bond payable on the day. The price per person for the activity is $295 pp 16yrs + :)

Hi there, what are the biggest sizes you have for protective gear and helmets.

Comments

For quad biking with nomads safaris, they go up to size XXL in protective gear and the same with helmets. These guys have been around for a long time supplying individuals with well-fitted protective clothing and have not had any issues thus far.

My daughter will only be 16 years old, but will have a learners permit. Is she able to drive on her own?

Comments

There are two quad biking companies in Queenstown and whilst Nomad Safaris won't take kids without licences, Off Road Adventures will.

Do you have twin seater quad bikes also ?

Comments

For the quad biking tour in Queenstown, passengers cannot ride with you, however those not wanting to ride their own bike can double up with one of the experienced guides.

Hi there, I am 20 with an aussie learners permit and am looking at booking this experince in october. I should have my restricted by then but if I dont would I still be able to ride? Living on a farm I have quite a bit of experience on bikes

Hi Rhys. Yes so long as you are at least 16 years old and have at least a learners drivers permit/licence then you can certainly do the quad biking tour in Queenstown.

Hi,
My Name is Sandy-Lea,
I care for a 32 yr old male that has been in a car accident nearly 5 yrs ago. We are coming over for a trip to Queenstown from Australia in October and we are trying to find exciting things for him to do while we are over there; I was wondering, if you have the ability to double (have 2 people per quad) available?
Any help regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Sandy-Lea

Comments

Hi Sandy-Lea, he would be able to travel as a passenger on the guides quad bike. The cost of travelling as a passenger is $150 as oppose to $245.

I only have a learner permit but I had done ATV once in Australia. Can still do the quad biking pls?

Comments

Hi Sam. Unfortunately, in order to do the quad biking in Queenstown you do need to have either a restricted or full car or bike licence. If you only have a learner permit (licence) then you cannot book the quad biking with Nomad Safaris I'm sorry.

Hi I will be down with a conference and would like to know if you can do about an hour and half tour for 8 people. this would be on Wed 5 Sept in the morning

Comments

Hi Michael. Yes we can certainly organise a quad biking trip in Queenstown to suit your needs. The normal quad biking tour involves 2 - 2.5 hours on the bikes and has you back in town by 12pm. Did you need to be back in town by a certain time or did you just want to spend less time on the bike? Either way we can shorten the trip for you. If you can let me know what your time requirements are then I can work out a suitable option for you.

hi, can i go with my childs (7 and 5 years)?

Comments

Hi Santiago, unfortunately the youngest to be able to ride a bike is 16 years old and they need to have a valid drivers license also. Passengers as young as 12 are able to go as passengers but they can only ride on the back of the guides bike.

Hi Looking at doing the Quad bikes in July 7-8th. Do you ride the quad bikes in the snow, as that is what we would like to do?

Cheers

Belinda

Comments

Hi Belinda. Yes the Quad biking in Queenstown does operate all year which means that if there is snow on the ground during winter (June - Sept) then the trips will still go ahead. No guarantees there will be snow but always a good chance.

Hi there

I will be staying in wanaka for two days, are you close enough to be viable, I can make my own way to you as I will have a hire car.
what start times would I have to make, Pm preferable.
Pleas econfirm how many KM you are are away.

Comments

Hi Robert. The Nomad Safaris Quad Biking tour leaves from central Queenstown at 1.30pm for the afternoon trip. The drive from Wanaka to Queenstown over the crown range will take you about an hour and is approximately 68km so it would be more than viable for you to drive over in the morning for the afternoon tour.

Why aren't children allowed to ride the bike ? Can they ride with an adult driving?
What if their turning sixteen years old soon?

Comments

Hi James, Nomad Safaris Quad Biking Safety policy requires riders of the 400cc Honda Quad Bikes need to be over 16 with a valid drivers license. Unfortunately, you cannot double up on the bikes.
