Description

Head up the Skyline Gondola in Queenstown to experience the renowned luge track. Luging is fun for all ages and abilities making it a great activity for families. The purpose built luge allows you to ride with complete control on the 800 metre purpose built course, consisting of banked corners, tunnels and dippers. Once you have tackled the course jump on the chairlift and do it all again!

With two tracks for different abilities you can opt for a gentle and leisurely ride or a steep, fast and adventurous one! One ride is never enough!

Trip Includes

Return gondola ride (approx 7 minutes each way)
5 luge rides

Duration

Allow as much time as you want - Gondola closes at 8:00pm (6:00pm on Tuesday & Wednesday)

Departures

Luging operates from 10:00am - 7:00pm every day
You can head up the gondola at any time from 9:30am to enjoy the views before luging
Operates all year

Other Information

Child (6-14yrs) & Pre-Schooler (2-5yrs) rates apply
Infants 0-1yrs travel free of charge - please advise upon booking
You do not need to book if you just wish to ride the gondola
The gondola seats 8 people per cabin
Riders who are under 110cm will need to ride in tandem with an adult & only on the scenic track, additional cost may apply on site
Only infants who are able to walk & support their own body weight are able to ride with an accompanying adult. Riders who are between 110cm & 135cm can ride the scenic track unaccompanied. Children that are 10 years old & over 135cm can ride the advanced track unaccompanied
Photos can be purchased on site
Free parking is available at the gondola base
Luge rides operate at the top of the gondola during daylight hours only
Other activities are available at the Skyline Complex including lunch, dinner & stargazing

Thanks so much for your question!
The price for the Skyline Gondola and 5 Luge rides is $77 Adult and $54 Child (6-14 yrs) and $5 for Pre Schoolers (2-5yrs) but they must be between 80-110cm in height to ride the luge accompanied.

Where can we buy tickets for Gondola and Luge for Queenstown on July 14? We are a group 19 pax. Can we also do Paragliding from the top? are there seating area in Bob's peak without using the retaurant?

hello is this suitabke for a pregnant lady 20 weeks? eg is it contact ?

Hi Todd! I'm really sorry- unfortunately Skyline aren't able to take pregnant customers on the luges as although it is not a contact activity, they cannot guarantee it's safe with all the riders on the course

Hello there… if this is a rule of riding, it may need to be enforced a little better… I am very obviously 24 weeks pregnant and rode the luge today 3 times. No one said a word and I wasn’t made aware of this prior. Had an absolute blast!
