Will the 9:30am skyline gondola get us up to the 10am paragliding adventure on time?

Comments

The paragliding pilots and other staff are aware of the time that the gondola starts as they actually need to wait until the first gondola to get up there themselves! As long as you are at the bottom of the gondola at 09:30 you will be on time

is it open in month of may at what time and what are the charges

Comments

Yes the paragliding from the Skyline complex above Queenstown does operate all year. The cost is $219 per person and you can book a flight at any time during the day. There is a special on if you wish to fly first thing in the morning on the Early Bird flight and it will save you $30 per person. These flights are weather dependent so I recommend you book for one of your first days in Queenstown so that if the weather is no good for flying you can reschedule to another day or get a full refund from us.

Hi,
What is the average and minimum flight time? Do you land back on top of the mountain?

Comments

Hi Vanessa, the Gforce Paragliding flight time is between 8-12 minutes. You don't land back at the top of the gondola but instead you land at the bottom of the hill on a school field. You are given a ticket to go back up the gondola if you want to head back up there.

Is the gondola ticket valid for any time of the day? ie. Can we go up the Gondola early and paraglide later that day? Thank you

Comments

Hi Helen. Yes the gondola ticket is valid for any time so you can head up several hours before your Queenstown paragliding departure time if you like. That being said, there is an Early Bird Special which is $20 cheaper if you book the 9am flight. It's also often better flying conditions first thing in the morning as the winds are usually not as strong. So you may want to book this early flight and save some money then you can head back up the gondola (the pilot will give you a return ticket back up to the top if you ask him) so you can enjoy the other things to do at the top, such as the luge ride, bungy, cafe, bar, great views, etc.
