All guides are certified to meet New Zealand industry standards for heli ski guiding, with the senior guides holding the highest level of avalanche certification, level 2 avalanche certified. Every winter, guides undergo a comprehensive pre-season safety training program, ensuring that your safety remains paramount during your adventure. Prior to each day of heli skiing, the NZMGA-certified Guiding Director and Snow Safety Officer conduct a comprehensive procedure to evaluate safety, manage weather and snow information and put together an unforgettable day of heli skiing or boarding for you.

• If you are hiring skis or snowboards in Queenstown, Alpine Heli Ski provide complimentary pick up from and return to the rental shop of your choice
• It is essential that skiers hire or bring their own powder skis (or wide skis) for heli skiing, snowboarders can bring the board they would usually use at a ski area
• Bring your helmet, windproof jacket and pants, boots, warm & grippy gloves, sunglasses/goggles, sunscreen and a camera
• Wear casual shoes for the morning pick up 
• Make sure you dress as you would for a cold day at the ski field
• Group size is limited 1 guide to 4-5 guests, with a daily capacity of 4 helicopters
• Additional runs available to purchase on the day for an extra cost
• It is recommended to book well in advance
