Awesome must to do activity!!!!! This is one of the best activities my wife and I did while on our holidays. Our guide helena was excellent, and as inexperienced riders made us feel comfortable very quickly. Horses are well trained and know exactly how to behave. The scenery is spectacular.

Hi Pauline and I had an amazing ride with Amanda, Sulley, Spud and Murphy. We are beginner riders but we were taught how to handle and ride the horses comfortably, even if Spud had a few other ideas. We highly recommend High Country Horses to anyone at any level. The scenery and experience blew us away

High Country Horses in Queenstown primarily use comfortable trekking saddles, designed for longer trail rides and suitable for riders of all experience levels. Most of their saddles are Western-style or stock saddles, which offer excellent support and security—perfect for exploring the stunning and varied terrain of the Rees Valley.

The check-in address for this horse trekking tour is 243 Priory Road, just outside Glenorchy. Please allow enough time for the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy (we recommend at least 1 hour).
Does the transportation between Glenorchy and Queenstown included? Is it suitable for beginners?
When completing a booking check in details will be sent to you via confirmation voucher! However, I can confirm the location is at 243 Priory Road, Glenorchy 9372. Unfortunately this product does not come with transport included so you will need to make your own way to Glenorchy! The Rees River Trail is suitable for all riding abilities!

If you are driving up from Queenstown, it's just another 10 minutes past the small Glenorchy township over the Rees River bridge towards Paradise.
