The experience itself (Shotover Jet and scenic helicopter) was excellent. Getting it booked - not so much.
We booked this as a single event and were happy transporting ourselves. The times available were 10am or 1:30pm so we booked the latter. Our booking was confirmed for helicopter flight at 10am and Jet boat at 12:30pm. I queried this and was told it was due to weights for the helicopter. I said that was not what we had booked. A different person came back with better times (1pm Jet and 2:30pm Helicopter). Still not perfect and what we thought we had booked but at least back to half a day instead of a whole day. Then realised the helicopter flight was actually listed on the voucher as 2:30 AM!
If this is a premium experience the booking process was anything but! Glad we booked far enough in advance to have time to fix things.

Great experience with both Jet boat and helicopter flight! Jet boat 🚤 was thrilling, heli flight 🚁 was stunning with a mountain top landing. Both very informative services, highly recommended!

Bought a combo package from them and due to weather condition, one of the activities were cancelled. Eventually, pricing for the single activity could have been cheaper if bought elsewhere.

The service by the staff in queenstown was great,We done everything we were asked confirmed the day before,When we got to queenstown on the day of jet-heli we were told it was not going ahead as they need two people and There was only one(me),Communication was very poor,Staff were great help thank god,

Thank you for your question about the Heliscenic. The helicopter lands on The Remarkables where you will disembark and be able to enjoy the epic views and take lots of pictures. Afterward you will board the helicopter for your return flight to Queenstown. The Shotover Jet, you can do this afterward or on an alternative day.

Thank you so much for your enquiry. Yes, we can certainly book 7 people for the helicopter flight and split you up between 2 helicopters. We just need everyone's approximate body weights to arrange accordingly.
Hi there! I have an existing gift voucher with Everything New Zealand that is valid until June 7, 2021. I would really love to use that voucher to "pre-book" this Jet & Heli activity, but cannot commit to dates as yet. Thank you so much for your enquiry. Yes, we can arrange complimentary transport for you. For the Helicopter flight, the pick up will be from your accommodation or closeby and for the Shotover Jet, the shuttle will depart from the town centre at 1:15 pm.

The check-in for the Shotover Jet is at the Shotover Jet Base in Arthurs Point whereas for the Helicopter Flight we can arrange a pick up from your accommodation or you can drive out to the Helicopter Line Base yourself.

Hi Gabriela. There is currently space on the Heliscenic Combo in Queenstown in the afternoon on the 6th January however I can assure you that this will book up soon so I would highly recommend booking asap. This is the busiest time in Queenstown so advance bookings are essential.

The helicopters on the Heliscenic Shotover Jet and Helicopter combo can take a maximum of 6 people and depends on weights. If the 8 of you wanted to go, you would be split across 2 helicopters.

The Heliscenic product works by doing the Shotover Jet Boat first and then the Helicopter flight back. There are no variations to the way this can be done.
Just reading your question I think you might be saying, can one person do the Helicopter Flight option only. EG They would not do the Jet Boat at all. If so, this could be arranged.

Hi Jamin, yes, you certainly can book the Heliscenic for just 1 person. The combo does require a minimum number of people to book in order to go ahead however this is generally not an issue as there is likely to be a few others booked at the same time. If the combo doesn't go ahead then you are able to reschedule or receive a full refund. I recommend booking for one of your first days in Queenstown so you have a few days to reschedule if need be.

Hi Judy. The Heliscenic operates twice a day all year at 8.30am and 1.30pm. The cost is $275 for adults and $199 for children and includes a 30 minute jet boat ride on the Shotover Jet and a 20 minute scenic helicopter flight with a mountain landing on top of the Remarkables mountain range. The entire combo takes about 2.5 hours.
