Description
Experience a unique day trip packrafting and be immersed in the great wilderness of the southern hemisphere as you get off the beaten track. Whether you are wanting to challenge yourself or you simply want to escape the everyday life then this trip will surely satisfy. Your fun filled day of packrafting is an inclusive outdoors experience. You will get to hike, climb, swim, relax, raft or simply float your way as you take in the breathtaking scenery. Armed with your own packraft, paddle and walking boots you are sure to have an adventurous day.
The lightweight packrafts are perfect for adventuring and ensure access to some of the most remote and undisturbed rivers in the region which are unreachable with conventional boats and kayaks. The location of your exploration will be decided the morning of your trip according to the conditions of the regions rivers and trails as well as the ability of the group.
Your guides will tailor the trip to the group's strengths and need for adventure. You will be instructed on how to inflate the boats, be given a full safety briefing and learn the necessary skills to control them. As you embark on a guided packrafting tour down the river it's entirely up to you whether you want to sit back and float serenely, frolick on the riverbank or seek out some rapids to play in. The adventure is all yours!

Hi Rohana, they tend to advise swimming with the current, although people don't fall out often. It's certainly suitable for over 50s and you just have to be reasonably fit for the hike although it's not very strenuous :)
