if I go skydive in Queenstown in November, will there still be snow left?

Many thanks

Hi Simon. Yes the skydiving in Queenstown departs hourly all day. There is a 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm departure. I'd suggest booking the 2.30pm so you have time to grab some lunch in town before your 2.15pm check in at the skydive shop.

Hi Joseph
Hello, i will be 25 weeks pregnant when looking to do it. do you allow pregnant people and is it safe to do when pregnant?
i'm thinking maybe not but thought i'd ask since all my friends are doing when in queenstown.
Comments
Hi Olivia, Nzone Skydive do not have a policy against pregnant women jumping as you jump at your own risk however they do not advise it. At 25 weeks pregnant I would suggest waiting and sit this activity out.
How many people have you lost?
Comments
Hi Peter,
When you say lost, I presume you mean how many people have died sky diving with NZONE. The answer in zero. They have a great safety record and as someone that has jumped with them, you can't go wrong.
my wife and i are planning to skydive in feb, but she insists on a female instructor with her when she jumps. just wondering if its a possibility
Comments
Hi Tanmay. There is only one female skydive instructor currently employed in Queenstown. Like the other instructors, she works on a rotational roster so there is no guarantees she will be working on the day you both decide you want to jump. That being said, we have been advised by the reservations manager that you can put a request in to jump with her and if she is available on the day then you can jump with her. For your information and your wife's piece of mind, all the male instructors are very professional and courteous.
Can I take my own go pro?
Comments
Hi Phil. Unfortunately for safety reasons, you are not allowed to take any camera or video equipment up in the plane with you when you go skydiving in Queenstown. If you do want video or photos of your skydive you can book a freefall photographer who will skydive next to you. This can be organised on the day when you check in for your skydive.
Hi I was just wandering what the free fall time is for 9000ft and 12000ft? I want to go this week. Thanks!
Comments
Hi Cassie, the freefall time from the 9000ft jump is 25 seconds, from the 12000ft jump it's 45 seconds and from the 15000ft jump its 60 seconds.

If I want to book a 12000ft jump and my friend books a 15000ft jump on the same time and day would we go up in the same plane?
Comments
Hi Andrea. Yes, if you book a 12,000ft tandem skydive with Nzone skydive in Queenstown and your friend books the 15,000ft jump then you will be able to go up in the same plane together.
Approximately how many photos are taken on the jump? I done one before where we got about 100 photos from the instructions wrist camera and about 100 of my own (had camera on bungy cord attached to jump suit). Is the camera set to 3 second bursts or anything?
Comments
Hi Maggie, on the Nzone jump you can opt to have the freefall photos where a photographer will jump with you and you will get 20 high-res 6" x 8" colour printed photos, high res digital images on CD and online image access to watch you photo slideshow along with 8 personalised postcards.
Can i bring my own camera for photos? does someone jump out of the plane to take pics or is it on the instructors wrist?

Hi Noreen, unfortunately you can't take your own camera skydiving with Nzone in Queenstown. If you are wanting the photos and/or videos a photographer jumps out with you and it costs $179 for the DVD or photos or if you want them both then the total cost is $219.
We are holidaying in New Zealand early september. Wouldyou recommened skydiving at this time of year??
Regards
Jessie
Comments
Hi Jessie. Skydiving operates all year in Queenstown. Winter is often the best time of year to skydive as the weather is calmer with less winds and rain than summer and the mountains are snow covered which makes for some amazing scenery! Skydiving is weather dependent though so we do recommend booking for one of your first days in Queenstown so that if the weather is bad and you can't skydive you can reschedule to another day or receive a full refund from us.
Do you get photos or a Dvd with these jumps??
Comments
Hi Lauryn, the photos and dvd are not included in this price. These are available to purchase on the day directly from Nzone if you would like them.
we are palnning a trip to NZ and want to sky dive. one person in our group weighs 226lbs and i see the cut off is 220lbs. will we be weighed before the trip? would a few pounds over matter?
Comments
Hi Rachel yes 220lbs (100kg) is the limit for skydiving and they will not take over unfortunately, even if it is just by a little bit. They do weigh you on the day so if someone's booked thinking they are borderline but are over on the day then a refund will be provided.
My son and I plan on being in Queenstown in late July. Know it is cold there and wondered if you provide the appropriate clothing/gear so we don't freeze to death. Looking forward to our first skydive...

What is the maximum weight you will accept for a sky dive? Would 110kg be OK?

If you choose to purchase the photos or video then you will have a personal photographer jump out of the plane with you and capture your tandem jump.
Would you happen to have a lighter instructor or something for my fat arse boyfriend who weighs in at 110kg??
