Let Remarkable Scenic Tours take you on a guided tour of Arrowtown and Wanaka from Central Queenstown. With a small group this is an awesome way to see the sights of the stunning towns with a local and knowledgeable guide.
Your tour kicks off with a scenic drive up the Crown Range, New Zealand's highest sealed Road. With a number of viewing platforms you can step off the van and soak up the stunning views over Queenstown and Arrowtown with mountains and lakes in the distance. Grab a few photos and then its on to the Cardrona Hotel! The Cardrona Hotel is New Zealand's oldest and most well known pub. Here your guide will shout you a beer or a soft drink which you can enjoy in the beer garden or around the cosy fire inside.
Next up is Wanaka, starting with a trip to the infamous Wanaka Tree. Your guide will help you to capture the perfect photo and teach you about the trees interesting history. After visiting the tree you will head into the township. Wanaka is self branded a lifestyle reserve, rich in family adventures, eco tours, ski fields and recreational trails. With mountains, glaciers and the lake as the towns back drop there is a photo opportunity at every turn! In Wanaka you will have an hours free time to explore the town, grab lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants, or take a walk by the lake, the choice is up to you!
Your day ends in Arrowtown a site swarmed by European gold prospectors in the 1860's and then by 5000 Chinese. Visit the restored cottages in the Chinese Settlement and explore the main street where you will feel like you just walked onto a movie set!
