Possible Itineraries
West to Glenorchy - The drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy, alongside Lake Wakatipu, is one of the most scenic drives one can do in New Zealand if not the world! On this picturesque journey we stop at various points along the way to get some great snaps before reaching the quaint town of Glenorchy at the head of Lake Wakatipu. Capture a shot of the famous Glenorchy Boatshed and stunning lakefront area before venturing up either the spectacular Rees Valley or Paradise Valley. Here you will have the opportunity to play with filters and explore slower shutter speeds to capture running water.
Heritage Tour - Explore the historic past of the Queenstown Lakes, visiting the restored main streets of frontier towns Arrowtown and Cromwell, visit old miners huts in their decaying splendour, see the old gold workings and marvel at roads carved into remote canyons.
Skippers Canyon & Coronet Peak -Skippers Canyon is a majestic historic gorge stretching 22km and is located just out of Queenstown. It is accessed via the same road that Coronet Peak ski field is on and has the Shotover River running through it, one of New Zealand's richest gold-bearing rivers. The Skippers Canyon photography tour is the most popular tour with a vast number of subjects to capture. This tour has it all with picturesque mountain vistas, waterfalls and spectacular macro photography. With so much on offer we guarantee you'll capture magnificent shots on this tour.
South of Queenstown, along Lake Wakatipu towards Kingston - Stop along Lake Wakatipu at Windy Point Lookout, Jardine's Boulder Field, Wye Creek and the Devil's Staircase. Visit Kingston lakefront, the Flyer steam train, the Old Fairlight station and the Mataura River. Visit the upper reaches of the Matura River and the Eyre Mountains back country. Experience the Nevis Range with views across Southland, the old Nevis ski hut, alpine tussock environments and their spectacular rock tors.
