Description

The Refresher Skiing and Snowboarding Package at Cardrona ski field is perfect if you have got to grips with skiing or snowboarding to a certain level, and are now looking to up your skills. Cardrona is a relaxed and friendly ski field easily accessible from both Queenstown and Wanaka. With excellent natural dry snow, spacious runs, world class parks and less crowds, developing your skills at Cardrona ski field is a great option whatever your level.

You will be carving up the slopes in no time with a range of excellent group lessons & lift passes available on the Refresher Package at Cardrona. Group lessons are organised by skill level, with beginner (2nd time) lessons, novice lessons and intermediate lessons all available. On the first day, the Refresher Package includes an all mountain lift pass, a full day group lesson, ski/snowboard and boots rental, plus optional return transfers from Queenstown or Wanaka. If you opt for the 2 Day or 3 Day Refresher Package, the additional days include an all mountain lift pass, ski/snowboard and boots rental and optional return transfers. Duration

Departures

Full day group lessons run from 10:30am - 3:45pm (45 minute lunch break at 1pm)
Meet at the Cardrona Snowsports School meeting area (through the archway)
Transfers are optional from Queenstown & Wanaka
7.45am departure from Cardrona Queenstown shop, 37 Camp Street, Queenstown (returns around 5:30pm)
8.00am departure from Cardrona Wanaka shop, 50 Cardrona Valley Road (alternate pick up points available)
Operates during winter (June - October)

2 or 3 day packages do not need to be used on consecutive days (must be used within validity window provided upon booking)
This package can only be used at Cardrona Alpine Resort
Allow at least 1 hour to be fitted with your rental equipment before your first lesson
Rental equipment can be picked up from the Cardrona stores in Queenstown, Wanaka or at the ski field
If you are taking rest days between skiing/snowboarding, rental equipment must be returned each day
Ski lessons are from 6 years & over, snowboard lessons from 7 years & over
Return bus transport departs Cardrona at 4:15pm
Lunch is not included - please bring a picnic lunch or purchase lunch on site

If I don't want to do the full day lesson for the Cardrona Refresher Package, but only a few hours can I do this?

With the Cardrona Refresher Package the lesson is a full day lesson, therefore if you want to start later or do a shorter lesson then I would suggest private lessons where you can choose how long you would like the lesson

Can adults and children be in the same lessons/if we are a family can we stay together for the Cardrona Refresher Package?

For the group lesson on the first day of the Cardrona Refresher Package you are split into age (adult and child groups) and into skiers and snowboarders. However if you want to stay together there are private lessons which are perfect for families at the same skill level.

If I have only Skied/Snowboarded once would you recommend the Cardrona Refresher Package?

If you feel confident on the basic skills of skis or a snowboard, know how to clip onto your board, and how to turn and stop (don't have to be great at it) then the Refresher Package is great, a perfect way to learn new skills. Otherwise there is the First Timer Skiing and Snowboarding Package.

Is the Refresher Package at Cardrona Alpine Resort an all day activity, or is it just the lesson?

The Cardrona Refresher ski package is a 1 day (or multi day if you choose) all inclusive product that includes ski lift pass, 1 group lesson and ski (or board) and boot hire. It's suitable for those have have skied or snowboarded before and want a little refresher lesson to sharpen skills before skiing for the day. Is this you or you a first time skier? If you are then the First Timer package is more suitable. If you are not needing or wanting lessons then you can book the Cardrona Advanced package which includes the full lift pass and ski/board and boot hire. All packages also have the option of self drive up the mountain or including mountain transfers.
