The stunning scenery of Queenstown is even more beautiful when viewed from Paddle Queenstown's kayaks. Located approx 30 minutes from Queenstown, Moke Lake is a favourite with the locals so is well worth a visit! Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of Queenstown and fully immerse yourself in New Zealand's natural beauty as you paddle across Moke Lakes calm and peaceful waters. 

Not to worry if you are new to Kayaking as you will be given a safety briefing and demonstration on how to use the kayaking before you hit the water. They won't wave you off until you are feeling confident and comfortable with your paddle. Kayaking can be hard work, so on your return, there will be a few refreshments to help you recharge.

Paddle Queenstown offers an excellent way to experience New Zealand’s astounding natural environment at a relaxed pace on this self-guided tour. Safety is of utmost importance, and all kayaks have all the necessary safety features, offer great stability and are easy to handle in varied lake conditions. Fingers crossed for a clear day, as Moke Lake is well known for transforming into a mirror, reflecting the beautiful mountainous surroundings.

Trip Includes

• 1-1.5 hours self-guided kayaking on Moke Lake
• Kayaks, paddling wear, buoyancy aid & spray skirt
• Safety briefing
• Commentary from your local driver

Duration

• Allow 3 hours (1-1.5 hours on the water)

Departures

• 9:00am (meet at 9:15am if self driving)
• Pick up from One Mile Creek Car Park, Lake Esplanade, Queenstown or self drive to Moke Lake campground (allow 30 minutes drive from central Queenstown)
• Operates in summer only (on request in winter)

Other Information

• Child rates apply (8-14yrs)
• Trips are suitable for first time kayakers, but you MUST know how to swim
• Must be able to understand the safety briefing if English is not your first language
• Please prepare for the sun - bring sunblock, hat, sunglasses, towel, swimwear, drink bottle, camera, suitable footwear (such as jandals/sandals) & extra warm clothing 
• All safety & kayaking equipment provided
• Please allow 30 minutes to self-drive to Moke Lake campground and note the drive is on a gravel road
• Trip needs a minimum of 2 people to run 
• Cancellations prior to 48 hours incur a 10% administration/cancellation fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of the day of departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellation within 24 hours of the day of departure – NO REFUND WILL BE MADE
